Age 85, from Suquamish, Washington, passed away at sunset Saturday, February 26, 2011 at 2:15PM in Bremerton, Washington of natural causes.Born August 11, 1925 in Kitsap County to Dora Peterson Henry and Robert (Brown) Purser. She was married July 13, 1945 to Robert Cordero. She was employed at Keyport as a Rosie Riveter and as a homemaker. She loved spending time with her family, knitting, crocheting, weaving, camping, and spending time at the Casino playing the one arm bandits. She also enjoyed spending time with the elders having lunch and going on trips. Also very important to her was tradition and culture, she was very proud of her people and she instilled these beliefs to her family. Mable was preceded by her Father Robert (Brown) Purser, Mother, Dora Peterson Henry, Step Father, John Henry, Sisters Dorthea Purser Solomon, Evelyn Purser Jefferson, Hazle Purser Johnson, Frances Purser (Ski), Florence (Sparky) Henry Alexander, Grandson Shawn Michael Cordero, Daughter Geraldine Solomon Cordero, and many loved ones. She is survived by her Brothers Robert A Purser Sr., William H Henry, Sister Louise Henry Harvey, Children Robert Cordero Sr. (wife Eileen), Frank Cordero, Linda Cordero Holt (husband Philip Sr.), Edward Cordero (wife Patty), Mable Cordero Anderson, Robert Alexander Sr. (wife Mary), Francis Alexander (wife Regina), Godson Lawrence Sigo (wife Carmen), 21 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends that were all very special to her. Prayer Service and viewing will be held Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at 6PM and a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at 10AM at the Suquamish Tribal Center on Sandy Hook Rd Suquamish, Washington.
