Margaret Ellada Ischer, 98, of Bainbridge Island, WA passed away on March 28th, 2022. She was born on January 30th, 1924, in Menomonie, WI. She had lived in St. Paul, MN, Lakewood, CO, Portland, OR, and Port Ludlow, WA. She was a devoted wife to Edward L. Ischer, Sr. for 39 years while living in Portland, OR. She is survived by 2 brothers, Roger Harrison, 90, of CO, and David Harrison, 85, of MN. She was a loving mother to her three children, Edward L. Ischer, Jr., Michael H. Ischer, and Peggy K. Sabbarese. She had 7 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Throughout her life, Margaret participated in a variety of activities. She enjoyed reading books by her favorite author, Danielle Steel, and was also an avid fan of Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. Margaret was an involved member of a square dancing group as well, attending dances quite regularly. While living in Port Ludlow, WA., she remained active within the clubhouse, socializing with friends who would gather for dinner.
Margaret was known as a dear friend to many, and would always offer a hand to help and an ear to listen. After a long journey of life’s experiences, we know that she’s eternally resting in peace and happiness, with her husband by her side once again.
Arrangements are entrusted to the Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island.
