Mark Earl Fisher

October 19, 1947 — October 18, 2023

Mark E. Fisher, a devoted husband, loving father, and a proud veteran, passed away on October 18, 2023, after a brief battle with illness. He was born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania on October 19, 1947, and his life was marked by remarkable achievements and selfless service.

Mark's unwavering dedication to his country was evident through his two tours of duty in Vietnam. From November 3, 1968, to October 26, 1969, and again from December 13, 1971, to March 20, 1972, he served with honor and distinction, rising to the rank of Captain, USAR. Mark was a decorated hero, having received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Aviator Badge, the Air Medal with 25 Oak Leaf Clusters, two of which were awarded for valor, and the Bronze Star Medal. His bravery and commitment to the military were truly exceptional.

On March 31, 1979, Mark married the love of his life, Roxanne Filipponi, and their union brought forth two beautiful children, Christina and Daniel. Mark also had two older children from a previous marriage, Nicole and Michelle, whom he loved and cherished.

Mark's final resting place will be at the Tahoma National Cemetery, where he will be honored for his service and remembered with gratitude.
