Marlene Elsbree Hoover

passed away September 28, 2009. She was born in Seattle to wonderful parents, Arthur Guy Elsbree and Katherine Ruth Minnick Elsbree. After graduating from Washington State University she taught elementary school in San Francisco for ten years building lifelong friendships in the Bay Area. Then she moved to her home on Bainbridge Island where she spent the rest of her life as a productive realtor and resident. Marlene was everyone's best friend. Her social life included membership in the Seattle Tennis Club, the Washington Athletic Club, and the Wing Point Golf and Country Club. Marlene was especially close to her two loving sisters, Arla Elsbree Foster and the late Lorraine Elsbree Sommer.Marlene is survived by her sister Arla Elsbree Foster, nephew Albert Guy Foster and his wife Bridget, brother-in-law Donald J. Sommer, numerous cousins and many close friends. No services and no sympathy cards please. Remembrances may be made to your favorite charity. At Marlene's request she was privately and peacefully laid to rest by her loved ones on October 17, 2009.
