Martha Naomi Jacobsen

d. January 1, 2001

born Martha Naomi Watson 11/13/1919 in Ellensburg Washington, passed away peacefully at the age of 96, July 31st 2016, with her family by her side. She grew up on an Ellensburg farm, the oldest of twelve brothers and sisters - You know that means she was a hard worker. She moved to Seattle after high school where she became a nurse, and eventually meet and married Gilbert Jarle Jacobsen (Deceased) - Her husband of 70 years. She was a tenacious loving mother, and devoted loving wife who fostered and taught equal portions of love, ethics, tenacity, loyalty, and the rewards of hard work to her daughter Lisa Ann Jacobsen (Deceased) and surviving son Christopher George Jacobsen. The song "Each Life That Touches Ours for Good" printed below is a tribute to her life and the God she believed in. "Each Life That Touches Ours for Good"Each life that touches ours for good Reflects thine own great mercy, Lord; Thou sendest blessings from above Thru words and deeds of those who love. What greater gift dost thou bestow, what greater goodness can we know Than Christ like friends, whose gentle ways Strengthen our faith, enrich our days. When such a friend from us departs, we hold forever in our hearts A sweet and hallowed memory, Bringing us nearer, Lord, to thee. For worthy friends whose lives proclaim Devotion to the Savior's name, who bless our days with peace and love, we praise thy goodness, Lord, above.Funeral Services are set for October 1st at 1:00 pm at Bethany Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island.
