Mary Ann Berg

of Bainbridge Island died peacefully at home with her family present on April 25.She was born in Seattle to Glenn and Virginia (Jasperson) McCormick and was a 1977 graduate of Everett High School. She studied art at Everett Community College, which was expressed in the way she decorated and entertained guests in her home.She worked for Safeco until she married in 1983, and in 1984 moved with her husband to Bainbridge Island. She was a devoted wife and mother to her children Justin and Melanie and was a member of First Church of Christ Scientist, Bainbridge Island.When her children were older, she worked in Winslow at the Calico Cat, Dana's Show House, and The Berry Patch. For the past few years she worked at Interpack NW Frozen Foods, Inc., Ericksen Avenue, as Administrative Assistant, and was a Mary Kay Beauty Consultant.She is survived by her husband Tom Berg and her children Justin and Melanie, her father Glenn McCormick of Kent, sisters Nora Smith of Redmond and Darcy Stier of Kent, niece Carrie Anderson and nephew Ryan Stier, aunts Phyllis Swenson, Irene Winter, Mary Israel, and Lillian Britain and extended family.All who have known her will miss her sweet and loving nature.A celebration of her life for family and friends will be held at the home of Bart and Dana Berg (206)842-9024, 8400 NE Paulanna Lane, Bainbridge Island off the north end of Sands Rd., starting at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3.Memorials may be made to Kitsap Humane Society, 9167 Dickey Rd.
