Melodie M. Marvel

Melodie M. Marvel passed away Friday June 22 in Harrison Medical Center with her loving family at her side and after a long illness. Born in Poulsbo, she was the daughter of Merle M. and Patricia A.(Urich) Strand. A lifelong resident of Kitsap County, Melodie attended High School locally after which she went to work as a commercial fisherwoman. Melodie also studied the Art of Weaving and over time became a Master Weaver.


Melodie is survived by her children and siblings, along with many other family and friends.


Relatives and friends are invited to her service on Wednesday June 27, 2018 at 11am in the House of Awakened Culture 7235 NE Parkway Suquamish, WA 98392. Interment will be private and directed by her children.

Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
