age 56, of Bainbridge Island, WA. died September 24, 2011 at his home. Michael was born June 6, 1955 in Battle Creek, Michigan to Keith and Betty Johncock. He lived in Lansing, Michigan until the family moved to Battle Creek in 1969. He graduated in 1973 from Battle Creek Central High School and attended North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota. After graduating from college with a Bachelors degree in Architecture he moved to Plano, Texas and was employed there by several Architecture firms including ATKL Associates. After working in the Dallas (Plano) Texas area for 12 years he moved to Bainbridge Island, WA. where he worked the last 19 years with several Architecture firms in Seattle including Colison, Mulvanny G2, NBBJ, and Michael Whalen A.I.A.In August 1977 Mike married MaryKay Toliver in Fargo N.D. Surviving Michael are his wife , his two daughters Amanda Johncock and Rachel Johncock of Phoenix, AZ., his parents Keith and Betty Johncock of Battle Creek, his brother Mark W. Johncock of Battle Creek, his sister Lynell D. Johncock of Marshall, and his sister Laura K. Ellis (Reed) of Rexburg Idaho. Mike was active in many sports including baseball, football and wrestling while in school in Lansing and Battle Creek and men's league baseball while living in Texas. He was actively involved with his daughter's soccer and sculling clubs. Mike was an avid weight lifter all his life and enjoyed most sports and hunting, returning to Michigan for an annual hunting trip with his brother and father during deer season.
