Michael David Hoben

passed away on Thursday, July 12, 2007 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was 45 years of age.Michael was born on July 7, 1962 in Ironton, Ohio to David Randall and Linda Mae Butler. He lived in the Central Kitsap area from early childhood, until his passing. He was a resident of Poulsbo, Washington.Mike was a member of the Kitsap County Destruction Derby for a number of years. Mike was a long line fisherman in the Bearing Sea; a talented heavy equipment operator and an accomplished mechanic.Mike fought a short but courageous battle with lung cancer and passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones. He was called to heaven so early in his life, but will live on in the hearts of many. He never hesitated to help a friend in need and touched many lives in a positive way. He had a love of the sea, fishing, camping and family.He is preceded in death by his Grandparents Nadine Medcalf, Howard Atkinson, Harold and Elizabeth Butler. He is survived by his Mother Linda Oliver and step Grandparents Bill and Audrey Medcall. Also his siblings; Wendy Lynn Hoben and James Corwin (JC) Hoben. He also leaves behind his children Ashley and Chelsea Hoben also his companion of 17 years Susan Gibbs and stepson Chad Gibbs.
