was born Feb 12, 1932 and died March 13, 2011 surrounded by those she loved. She was preceded in death by her son Kevin J. Kelly and her brother, James D. Tiffany.She lived all her life, except a few short years on Bainbridge Island. She graduated from Bainbridge High School, in 1950 and went on to attend Olympic College. Her gaze often lingering on the peace and activity on Eagle Harbor. She was full of memories that spanned the history of Bainbridge Island. She shared a connection with the "Island" that was rare. Connections with the marine, the Japanese community, & lifelong friends. Standing on the dock at Eagledale as young woman, she watched as many of her friends were sent away for internment in March of 1942. A memory that shaped her life, and bonded her to many.Nancy was about friendships; from her friends from high school (still meeting 50 plus years later). Her friendships were infused with the warmth, love and occasional snark that was her. That's what she had to share, and share it she did. Nancy is survived by her daughter, Deirdre A. Widen, of Seattle. Special Friends, Mary, Alice, Cora and Terry. Step-sons, Steven (Tina), and Brian (Leanne), and Eric and several grandchildren and a very special friend Katie Coffey. There are also many friends from the ‘recovery' community.Family and friends are cordially invited to attend a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 2nd at 2:00pm at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church.
