Patricia "Pat" Ann (Lynn) Marshall was born on June 18, 1943, in Bremerton, Washington. She passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 30, 2024, after a sudden decline in her health. Pat was 81 years of age.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 48 years, Ron Marshall, their two dogs Mattie and Lola, her stepson Jeff (Leslie) Marshall, and her son-in-law Paul (Wendie, Pat’s stepdaughter) McDonald. Pat was predeceased by her father Lee and mother Roxanne Crandall and her brothers Kenneth Lynn and Robert Crandall. Pat graduated from Peninsula High School in 1961 and attended Tacoma Community College. Soon thereafter, Pat’s love of the ocean led her to become a shrimp boat captain and later she took a job at the Shellfish Research Center’s laboratory in Brinnon, Washington.
Her next career led her to the banking floor of the National Bank of Washington where she met Ron. She then worked for Blyth Eastman Dillon & Co. as one of the few woman government bond traders in the industry. Ultimately, Pat and Ron married in 1976 and founded an investment advisory firm, Marshall and Sullivan, in 1981.
To merely say that Pat cared deeply for the earth and the creatures that inhabit it would be an understatement, as she proved this day in and day out by doting on her many pets, watching birds, feeding wildlife, and establishing gardens and ponds. When not out in nature, Pat spent time traveling to far-flung places, with London and Paris as two of her favorites, spending time boating with Ron, decorating her home, and surrounding herself with her devoted friends.
Pat will be remembered for her lovely smile, peaceful gentle soul, warm laugh, and the joy and positivity she brought to everyone around her. We love you Pat.
A memorial for Pat will be held in October and we will notify all friends and family.
Arrangements entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island, WA.
