Richard Marvin Douglass

Richard Marvin Douglass, 89, of Port Orchard, WA., passed away quietly Friday November 29, 2019 at the Washington State Veterans Home in Port Orchard. Born in Stevenson, WA., June 26, 1930, he was the son of the late Albert and Emma (Sweeney) Douglass.

Richard graduated from high school in Stevenson after which he joined the United States Navy serving his country honorably during his enlistment. After his discharge, Richard became a heavy equipment operator and later an owner operator of his own company, and spent over 30 years specializing in road construction.

Richard is survived by his son Tom of Arlington, WA., and 2 daughters. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Services and interment will be private at the families request. Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island.
