Robert C. Brooks

passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at his home on Bainbridge Island, Washington. He was 70 years of age.Born on January 8, 1937 in Melrose Park, Illinois to Emile Robert Brooks and Virginia Finn Parker, he grew up in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. After graduating from Virginia Tech as a chemical engineer, he worked as a Plant Manager for Shonan, USA while living in Yakima. In July of 2000, he retired to Bainbridge Island.Bob was known for his cheerfulness, good sense of humor, and love of life. He enjoyed good food, good wine, and Mozart.He is survived by his beloved wife Linda K. Brooks and his loving children: Caryn Brooks, Michelle Genter, Nancy Smoot, and Robert E. Brooks, II. He also leaves behind his siblings Susan Brooks and Jack Brooks, as well as his grandchildren: Lucy, Max, and Lillian Smoot, Sam and Benjamin Genter, Elise Shauf, and Abby and Ella Brooks. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service at 1:00pm on Thursday, March 15, 2007 at Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Road on Bainbridge Island.
