Robert C. Dir

passed away on Thursday, May 31, 2012 in Poulsbo, Washington. He was born on December 25, 1947 in Los Angeles, California and was 64 years of age.Robert was a resident of Bainbridge Island and had previously lived in Shoreline, WA. He graduated from Chico State College and retired from the Housing Authority. He was currently employed part-time at Home Depot in Poulsbo, WA. Robert was a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was always ready to help on any "special projects" dreamed up by his family, especially if he could use his truck to help haul stuff! He enjoyed family dinners, usually followed by the challenging board game of "Settlers of Catan". Robert especially enjoyed meeting with his brother, Dale, for their weekly "coffee and conversation". He will remembered for his willingness to help others.He is survived by his brother Dale Dir (Billie) of Bainbridge Island, brother William Dir (Jennifer) , WA, sister-in-law Jean Dir, several nieces and nephews plus, many loving friends and family. He was preceded in death by his parents Richard and Marjorie Dir and his brothers Jay and Douglas Dir.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service on Friday,June 22, 2012 at 12:30 PM at Island Church, 9624 Sportsman Club Road on Bainbridge Island.
