Robert Duane Merrill

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Robert D. Merrill Sr., of Sheridan, Indiana, who departed from this world on January 16, 2024, while visiting family in Bainbridge Island, Washington. Robert was a devoted husband, a doting father, and a cherished member of his community. Throughout his life, Robert exemplified the values of love, dedication, and kindness. As a husband, he was a steadfast companion and confidant to his beloved spouse, providing unwavering support and comfort through life's joys and challenges. As a father, he was a source of strength and guidance, instilling in his children the importance of integrity, hard work, and compassion. Robert's passing leaves a profound void in the hearts of all who knew him, but his memory will continue to live on in the lives he touched. His warm smile, generous spirit, and gentle demeanor will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and community.

A visitation to honor Robert's memory was held on Friday, February 9th, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Myers Mortuary (1502 N Lebanon St, Lebanon, IN 46052), followed by a memorial service at the same location at 11:00 AM. 

A reception to celebrate Robert's life was held later that day at 1:00 PM at Booker's Bar & Grill (109 N Main St, Kirklin, IN 46050).
