Rose​ Marie Lockett

passed away on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Harrison ​Medical ​Center in Bremerton​,​Washington​, She was born on August 25, 1948 in Yakima, WA, She was 67 years of age.Rose loved music but most of all she loved her kids and grand kids. She was very active in her church as choir director, primary president, relief society president as well as many other callings she excelled in. Rose was a talented singer in her own right. She enjoyed working in the yard pulling weeds, sewing for her family and was a very good stream stress, which was a talent she learned from her mother. Rose also loved keeping in touch with her family on Facebook. She enjoyed the outdoors but her idea was to enjoy the outdoors and then return to a hot shower, soft bed and the amenties of home.Rose was a loving mother, spouse, friend and was surrounded by her family as she peacefully passed.She is survived by her husband Fred Lockett of Bremerton, WA, children: Jennifer Lockett of Seattle, WA, Matthew Lockett of Modesto, CA, Benjamin Lockett of San Antonio, Texas and Elizabeth Lockett and Steven Lockett of Bremerton, WA. She also leaves behind her siblings: Dale Barton of Coos Bay, Oregon, Charles Barton of Sunnyside, WA, Nova Lawton of Tri Cities, WA and Frank Barton of Auburn, WA. She was preceded in death by her parents Fred C. Barton and Christia A. Currey.Memorial Services will be held on Saturday, January 23 at​ 12:00 PM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Central Valley Building in Poulsbo, WA. Private interment will take place at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. Memorial contributions can be made to further breast cancer research.
