known by family and friends as Rusty, died on October 12, 2010. He was born on January 9, 1951, to Russell and Betty Johnson. He grew up on Bainbridge Island, and graduated from Bainbridge High School in 1969. After high school he traveled extensively throughout the U.S. including Hawaii, Alaska, the east and west coasts, and then to South America. He then attended the Perry Institute in Yakima, where he earned a degree in electronics. He later attended Spokane Falls Community College where he earned a degree in prosthetics and and orthotics. He lived on Bainbridge Island where he raised his son in the Port Madision family home. Rusty had a rye sense of humor and an uncanny sense of the absurd. He loved his family and friends, and he never spoke ill of anyone. He is survived by his beloved son Casey Johnson, his mother Betty Johnson, his sister Patricia Pigott and her husband Bob, a niece, nephews and many cousins. Services will be private.
