passed away on Monday, June 4, 2007 peacefully in her home after a two year struggle with stomach cancer.Sally was born in Yakima, Washington on July 18, 1938 and grew up in Spokane. She graduated from Lewis & Clark High School in 1956, where she was a Lilac Festival Princess. In 1960 she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Washington. She taught grade school for several years before obtaining a second degree in Interior Design and launching a successful interior design business.Sally was a member of Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority, The Sunset Club, The Colonial Dames of America, The Women's University Club, The Lake Washington Garden Club and The University Presbyterian Church. She had a mission at Pike Place Market, was a deacon of The Episcopal Church, taught Bible study and was a ghost writer and editor of Ed's medical papers.Sally was a world traveler and an accomplished painter. Most importantly, Sally was a mentor to her family, extended family and many, many friends. The brightness of her spirit will remain shining in all of us.She is survived by Edward, her husband of 48 years; sons Bryan and Douglas; her mother Verna Moss; sister and brother-in-law Suzanne and Michael Adams; sister-in-law Jeanne Slye; nieces and nephews Shawn, Jenn, Fiona and Elliot Adams, Katherine, Mark and Elizabeth Mayor; Chris, Craig and Mark Slye; Valerie, Dick Jason and Ryan Loyles; her "adopted" families Charlotte, Randy, Lauren and Bradley Baker; Mary Lynn, John, Chloe and Ali Moore; Chris, Julianne, Isabella and Easton Bradley; Johnny Bradley and Karin Sohle.A service celebrating Sally's life will be held at the University Presbyterian Church 4540 15th Avenue NE Seattle, WA 98105 at 2:00pm Wednesday June 13th [Map]. A reception will follow at The Sunset Club 1021 University Street Seattle, WA 98102. Remembrances may be made to the University Presbyterian Church Overseas Mission 4540 15th Avenue NE Seattle, WA 98105.Arrangements entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home.
