Sandra Van Wyck Whalen, 84, of Santa Cruz, California, passed away Saturday April 29, 2019 after a brief stay at Wyatt House on Bainbridge Island. Born in Seattle, Washington she was the daughter of Laurence Armistead and Claire Esmund (Taft) Peters.

A graduate of Bainbridge Island High School Class of 1953, Sandra continued her education at Stanford University where she earned her Bachelors of Science Degree in English, graduating in 1957.
