Stuart J. (Jack) Henderson

Stuart Jack Henderson of Bainbridge Island passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Jack was born on September 15, 1926 in Bellingham, WA and was the son of Manford E. and Edith E. Henderson. He was 92 years old.

Jack attended school in Bellingham and never missed a single day of school from kindergarten until the end of high school. He spent summers helping on the family farm and time at the summer cabin at Birch Bay. He entered the US Army Air Corps in which he and his older brother Sherwood Henderson served for several years. Jack graduated from Washington State University with a Civil Engineering degree, and later earned his Master's Degree in Aerospace Engineering. He spent his career working for the Boeing Company as an Aerospace Engineer for 35 years until his retirement.

Jack loved the outdoors and sports. He enjoyed skiing, golfing, and the water as well as time with family and friends. He was an amazing athlete with a strong work ethic. His retirement years were full of enjoying the things he appreciated including traveling the world with his wife and spending time with loved ones.
Jack is survived by his loving wife, Lonnie Henderson of Bainbridge Island, and his children and grandchildren.
The family is planning a private service.
