Theresa Shanahan

Theresa Margaret Shanahan, daughter of Norman Gerald Shanahan and Bertriz Faith Shanahan, sister of Anne Marie Shanahan and Colleen Frances Shanahan, and Kathleen and Elizabeth Shanahan and mother of Richard Charles Marshall, passed away from cancer in University Place, Washington on February 23, 2022. She was born in Los Angeles, California, on March 19, 1960, and attended Redmond High School and Bellevue College. She raised her son on Mercer Island before spending the last 22 years on her beloved Bainbridge Island. Professionally, she had a successful career as a compassionate and loving caregiver for elderly patients. She was an active member of Sukyo Mahikari in Mountlake Terrace and her religion meant so much to her. Always fun and full of life, she loved to party, dance, and sing. She had a beautiful voice and always made her family laugh. Theresa overcame many challenges and was so positive at the end of her life. She was an inspiration to all who knew her.
