Timothy D. Reidinger

passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Virginia Mason Medical Center in Seattle, Washington. He was 56 years of age and a resident of Silverdale, Washington.Tim was born to Mildred Horangic and Jetson Reidinger. He graduated from Bloomsburg University of PA; served in the US Navy; worked at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard; joined the Nuclear Regulatory Commission; and retired in 1999.He married Heather Lawton of Seattle in 1982, moved to Elgin, IL, bought an 1890's mansion, and spent the next 15 years turning a house into a home, raising a family of four children and building long-lasting friendships.The couple bought property in Silverdale in 1997 and proceeded to build their dream home. Despite Tim's illness, he did much of the design and construction himself.He was a proactive patient who constantly researched new methods of attacking his sarcoma, surviving nearly 10 years. His witty, cheerful outlook never flagged. He had extraordinary faith and perseverance as did his wife who cared for him throughout his long battle.Tim was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife and children: Arianne Mizuta and husband, Kevin, Alea, Barrett, and Bryce Reidinger; identical twin Fredrick; brother Patrick; and sister Ann Haggarty; plus a large extended family.Rosary Recitation and Funeral Services at St. Olaf Church in Poulsbo begin 1:30 PM Monday, April 16, coordinated by Cook Family Funeral Home (map).
