passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was born on December 7, 1930 and was 85 years of age.Truman attended Kirkland High School and later worked as a grocery store clerk and produce manager at The Bainbridge Island IGA store in the 1970's and 1980's. He retired in 1985. Truman later devoted his time to his nursery business in Snohomish, supplying flowers, gardening and vegetable plants throughout the Pacific Northwest. He served during the Korean War in the United States Army.Truman is survived by his wife Elizabeth L. Van Bebber, daughter Brenda K. Mirkovich (Martin) all of Bainbridge Island, WA , son Charles W. Van Bebber (Susan) of Carlisle, PA and grandchildren Elizabeth G. Van Bebber of Wenham, MA and grandson Jonathan I. Van Bebber of Carlisle, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Ina Van Bebber and brother Kenneth R. Van Bebber.Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Graveside Service on Monday, November 7, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, Washington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The National Parkinson's Foundation, The Alzheimer's Association or the Fisher House Foundation (charity for military families of wounded service members).
