Una V. Engfer

(Pat), passed away on Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Harbor House - Liberty Shores in Poulsbo, Washington. She was 85 years of age and was born on June 14, 1922 to Jiles O. Patterson and Alta M. Holmes. Services are pending through Cook Family Funeral Home.Pat was born on June 14, 1922 in Quitman, Arkansas to Jiles Olvin and Alta Mae Patterson. She graduated from Quitman High School in 1939.Pat Engfer migrated to Seattle during WWII to work in the Boeing aircraft plant. After the war she met and married the love of her life, returning war veteran Major Carl J Engfer. Five years after the birth of their daughter, she returned to work at Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone (later Qwest). She started out as an elevator operator and rose to the level of Engineering Supervisor, retiring in 1982 after 28 years service.Pat will be laid to rest beside her husband of 60 years in a private memorial at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent.She is survived by her daughter Kathy Geehan, and son-in-law Greg Geehan of Bainbridge Island, grandchildren Kristen Geehan Pemberton (David) of Brooklyn, NY, and Jeffrey Geehan of Superior, CO, nephew Jim Nail of Novi, MI, and numerous cousins in Arkansas.Donations in her memory may be made to Hospice of Kitsap County, P O Box 3416, Silverdale, WA 98383 or your local area Hospice.Arrangements are pending through Cook Family Funeral Home.
