Veda Joe Fullaway

Veda Fullaway, 70, of Port Orchard passed away peacefully, surrounded by photos of all her family in what her granddaughter described as her own personal live in scrapbook, on Friday June 28, 2019 at the Washington Veterans Home in Port Orchard, WA.

Born October 17, 1948 in Wichita Falls, Texas Veda graduated from high school in her home town after which she graduated from the University of Texas with a Nursing Degree.

Shortly after her graduation, Veda would put her new skills to work accepting a job in Nursing in various hospital emergency rooms.

Veda was always happy and had a smile for everyone she met. Her greatest love was her family and her friends and in true fashion always had a sweet treat for anyone who visited; handing out Twinkies and Hershey Bars. She even kept the nurses and staff well fed with her special treats during her time at the Veterans Home.

Preceded in death by her loving husband, Veda is survived by her beloved daughter Dena Feltus of Bremerton, WA., her loving granddaughter Lillie Bolton Miller of River Oak, Texas and her great granddaughter.

Services and interment will be held privately and at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are entrusted to Cook Family Funeral Home of Bainbridge Island.
