Veola E. Peggy Quinn

September 27, 1924 — November 30, 2018

Veola E. "Peggy" Quinn of Sequim and formerly of Bainbridge Island passed away peacefully on Friday November 30, 2018. Born in Kent, WA., September 27, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Earnest Rudolph and Veola Margaret (Thompson) Lundgren and was 94 years of age.

Peggy moved to Bainbridge when she was 2 years old growing up in Port Blakely. When she was old enough to work she chose Ferne's as her first job and worked there for about a year after which she was employed by the Bainbridge Island Police Department. Peggy found her place, however, at the Jiffy Mart in Lynwood, where she worked for over 20 years for Harley Unruh and Walt Hannon.

During her years at the Grocery store, Peggy would also care for her mother until her death. She later did some traveling where she discovered her love of both Hawaii and Maine. In 2001, Peggy settled in Sequim where she enjoyed her favorite place; Railroad Bridge Park.

Peggy is survived by her 3 loving children; John and his wife Nancy Glaser of Sequim, Nancy and her husband Michael Hayden of Port Ludlow, and Alan and his wife Diane Glaser of Bainbridge Island. Seven beloved grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also survive her.

Peggy's interment will be made in the Port Blakely Cemetery with a private graveside service at the families convenience.
