Virginia M. Redfield

passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at her residence on Bainbridge Island, Washington. She was born on February 28, 1934 and was 83 years of age.Virginia attended Montana State University and received a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing. She married her husband Arthur in 1956. She left the field of nursing and focused on raising her family on Bainbridge Island. She was a volunteer at Bloedel Reserve and also enjoyed giving her time at the local senior center and Helpline House. She was an avid reader and a member of two book clubs. She also enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of two local bridge clubs.Virginia leaves behind many family and friends who will miss her kindness, honesty and genuine ability to make one feel loved and acknowledged. She was a remarkable woman and everyone was truly blessed to have known her. She is survived by her husband Art Redfield of Bainbridge Island, WA, her son Daniel A. Redfield (Sherry) of Arkansas, daughter Gayle Redfield of Wisconsiin, grandson Daniel K. Redfield of Anchorage, Alaska and great-granddaughter Ava Redfield of Anchorage, Alaska. She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Amanda Redfield.Memorial contributions can be made to the Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, WA. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service on Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 5:00 PM at Port Madison Lutheran Church on Bainbridge Island, WA. A reception will follow.
