William Edward Powell

62, passed peacefully on April 29, 2017 at his home at a favorite area next to the campfire.Will learned at a young age with his Mom, to love camping and fishing. He was a Boy Scout for many years. As an adult, he always left a camp area in better condition then he some times found it. What his brother called to "Billyize" a camp. He graduated from South Kitsap High School in 1972.Will joined the army and served six years reaching a rank of Sgt. He was trained for deep sea diving. With various jobs, he best liked driving. Long haul, Kitsap Transit and school bus.He met the love of his life when he started driving for North Kitsap Transportation. They married in 1995. Will was manager in a music store also. Will retired. He loved football, music and became quite a chef.He is survived by his wife, Karen, his parents, Bill and Ruth, a sister, brothers; Roger, Russ (Carrie), son Dave (Shawna) and daughter Lynn. He also leaves behind his grandchildren; Hiatt and MacKenzie, niece Rebecca (Mike) and his nephews Alex, Hunter and Owen.A private service will be held.
