passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Harrison Hospital in Bremerton, Washington. He was born on June 8, 1948 in Seattle, Washington and was 64 years of age.William was a resident of Bainbridge Island and in 1966 graduated from Bainbridge High School. He later attended Western Washington State College. William was a US Army veteran. He worked in broadcasting as a DJ, operations , manager and general manager from 1971-1998. He also worked in public relations in the nursing home industry from 2000-2008.William was a published author of "Oscar: A Cat's Tale". Throughout his life Bill had many passions and hobbies. First and foremost was his love for music and radio. Most of his career was spent in the broadcasting industry. Bill also enjoyed the outdoors. Camping and fishing was a big part of his life, a passion passed to him from his parents then shared with his children. His thirst for knowledge and growth never ended. He went back to college and earned his bachelors degree at the age of 51.William is survived by his children; Richard Coleman of Keizer, Oregon and Michelle Coleman of Kent, WA. He also leaves behind his mother Freda L. Coleman of Bainbridge Island and granddaughter's Mikayla and Miranda Coleman of Keizer, Oregon. He was preceded in death by his father Richard L. Coleman and his wife Nancy J. Coleman. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Memorial Service celebrating his life on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Eagle Harbor Congregational Church , 105 Winslow Way West on Bainbridge Island.
