Winifred Shaw Mccoubrey Langdon

passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010 at Montclair Park in Poulsbo, Washington. She was born on May 10, 1911 in Seattle, Washington to Theodore and Minerva Shaw and was 99 years of age. Wini graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1929. She was a member of Wing Point Golf and Country Club. Wini loved golf, gardening, knitting, playing bridge, exercising and family celebrations. She was a fabulous friend, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and step-mother to so many of us who loved her. She is survived by her children; William McCoubrey (Pam) of Bellevue, WA, Georgia Figgins (Bernard) of Bainbridge Island, WA, Stepdaughter Harriet Davis (Stephen) of Bainbridge Island and grandchildren; Scott McCoubrey, Maureen Vlases, Doug Nelson, David Nelson and Danny Figgins. There are also sixteen beloved great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband's George McCoubrey and Lewis Langdon. Family and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Celebration of Winifred's Life on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at 3 pm at The Wyatt House on Bainbridge Island, WA.
