Yong Hui Sackett

passed peacefully on October 17, 2017. She is survived by her daughter Lisa Sackett Camacho, son-in-law Raul Camacho, her grandchildren Claire, Daniel and Audrey as well as her siblings Chung Ja Kim, Min Ja Park, Tae Hawn Park, and In Hawn Park.Yong was born on May 10, 1947 in Korea. She married Ltc. Irving D Sackett Jr., VMD in 1965 and moved to the United States. They were married for 46 years and resided most of those years in Springfield, VA. Yong was a talented hairdresser, dedicated wife and mother, and an avid gardener. After her husband's passing in 2013 she moved to be closer to her daughter and grandchildren living her remaining years on Bainbridge Island.Yong Hui was a force of nature. She worked hard, was incredibly loyal, and was tenacious. She will be missed greatly.Funeral services will be held at Arlington National Cemetery on February 20, 2018 at 2 PM with an arrival time of 1:30-1:45.
